Antilla is the project I am currently working on in the Caribbean. Through black and white photography, I seek to find a link that connects the Caribbean islands, mainly Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti.
Since I have been living in the Caribbean, I have noticed a feeling of constant searching, a desire to live in the present, and a desire to have an identity that is different from that of Central America and its surroundings.

A charitable documentary project that consisted of photographing the work of the Filles de la Charité (Daughters of Charity) missionaries in Madagascar. The aim was to document the sisters' work in the main areas in which they operate, namely healthcare, nutrition, education, and social work.
With the photos, I created a book called MASERA and a traveling exhibition in Spain to raise awareness among the population and collect funds to send to Madagascar. The funds are donated in full to the Daughters of Charity in Barcelona, who then transfer them to Sister Isabel Azcarate in Fianarantsoa, Madagascar.
MASERA has been presented in Spain, France, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.
“If I could describe it in words, I wouldn't need to carry a camera.” (Lewis Hine)
Cockfighting in the Dominican Republic is an important part of popular culture.
In cockfighting arenas, cockfighters carefully breed and train fighting cocks, considering them symbols of courage and pride.
The competitions revolve not only around combat, but also around the cockfighter's own honor.
Personally, I am fascinated by the passion with which Dominicans experience these fights, which usually take place on weekends.
